Coach of
Brazil’s U20 men’s football team, Rogerio Micale, has explained how they were
able to subdue Nigeria in a highly entertaining fixture at the ongoing FIFA U20
World Cup in New Zealand.
The Brazilians ran out 4-2 winners against the African champions,
Nigeria, in what has so far been the most entertaining game of the tournament
and Micale, who is only just over two weeks with the team, explains how it
happened.
“We started very well, but then the opposition gradually got on
top and prevented us from playing our game,” he said in the post-match press
conference.
“We shored things up in the middle of the park again in the second
half and then looked to exploit the wings, which paid dividends,” he added.
