Super
Falcons Coach, Edwin Okon, has announced his final list of 23 players for the FIFA
Women’s World Cup which starts in Canada next week.
Top on the list is reigning
African Women's player of the year and newly crowned BBC World Women’s
Footballer of the Year, Asisat Oshoala.
Some of the players that also made the
list are Captain Evelyn Nwabuoku, goalkeeper Precious Dede, Desire Oparanozie, Perpetua
Nkwocha, Francisca Ordega and Courtney Dike.
However, goalkeeper Sandra Chichi
and 2012 FIFA U-17 World Cup top scorer, Chinwendu Ihezuo were dropped from the
list.
Nigeria plays Sweden, Australia and USA in Group D, with their first
match against Sweden in Winnipeg on Monday, June 8.
