Efe Ambrose Celtic crowned champions as Aberdeen falls to Dundee United



Dundee United handed Celtic the Scottish Premier League title on Saturday after securing a 1-0 home victory over second-place Aberdeen. Celtic's 5-0 win over Dundee on Friday meant that Aberdeen needed a win at United on Saturday to keep the title race alive.

Also on Saturday, Hamilton used second-half goals from Darian MacKinnon and Nigel Hasselbaink to top Kilmarnock, 3-2, Motherwell and Ross County traded first-half goals in a 1-1 draw, last-place St Mirren moved closer to being relegated after losing 3-0 at Partick Thistle, while Brian Graham scored the equalizer for St Johnstone in the 82nd minute of a 1-1 draw with Inverness.
