The Forum of the Directors of Sports of the 36 states of the Federation and FCT under the auspices of Directors of Sports Forum have expressed satisfaction with the vision of the League Management Company (LMC) to take domestic football to an enviable level under the Leadership of Shehu Dikko.
The Forum members led by its chairman and Kwara State Director
of Sports, Tunde Kazeem, on Thursday paid a
courtesy visit to the Chairman of the LMC at the new corporate office of the
League in Abuja.
Kazeem who led his members on the visit praised the LMC boss and
his Management for the success recorded so far in the league. He said the
present trend of the league has given hope to Nigeria football followers that
Nigeria football league could compete favorably with other organized leagues of
the World.
While responding, LMC Chairman, Shehu Dikko, thanked the forum
for the visit which he described as the first official assignment at the new
corporate office of the LMC. He described the Forum as key stakeholders in the
development of football and assured them that the LMC would carry them along in
all its policies and programme.
Dikko added that the stability and success recorded so far was
as result of the cooperation from amongst all the relevant stakeholders,
stressing that the Directors of the Forum would assist the LMC in the areas of
venue maintenance, security and facility management which according to him
would be supported by the LMC.
The LMC boss also disclosed plans by the LMC to interface with
the Nigeria’s Governors forum to discuss the future of their respective Clubs
in the areas of Ownership and private partnership investment via the proposed
community ownership of Clubs.
