The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club owners association has commended the leadership of Nigeria Nation-wide League (NNWL) with the level of organization they have put in place to improve the league, following the successful kick-off of the 2015 season.
Chairman of Club Owners Association, Isaac
Danladi, disclosed this over the weekend, after watching FC Abuja beat Dreams International FC of Makurdi 1-0 in Abuja.
“I am most impressed with what is
happening in the lowest league in the country because I never expected this”.
“This is the first time I’m watching the
nationwide league match and incidentally those at the helm of the affairs:
Alhaji Ahmed Kawu, chairman and the Executive secretary, Olushola Ogunnowo, are
friends and they are doing a fantastic job here, and kudos must actually go to
them and their secretarial staff.”
“The display I saw today is fantastic
because both sides exhibited very high sense of artistry, I think I enjoyed
myself,” said Danladi.
In addition, Danladi who is also the
chairman of Nasarawa United of Lafia commended the officiating, but called for
more improvement to corroborate the quality of the organization of the league.
FC Abuja has drawn one match and won one
thereby securing four points in the three-week-old league season with a game in
hand.
