Nigeria's U-17 team, Golden Eaglets, relocated from Abuja to
Katsina on Saturday, as they begin closed-camping ahead of the Chile 2015 FIFA
Under -17 World Cup.
Eaglets' Head Coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, who led a team of 35
players and eight officials to the North Western state, before departure
thanked management and staff of Serob Legacy Hotel even as he called on the
players to remain, focused.
"We want to thank you all for making our stay here
pleasurable," Amuneke told the staff at breakfast."But we have to
leave now for Katsina to continue our preparation. "By the Grace of God,
we would meet again and have cause to celebrate what God is going to do for
us," he said.
Meanwhile, the Golden Eaglets according to Team Administrator,
Tayo Egbaiyelo who attended a recent FIFA U-17 World Cup workshop conducted by
FIFA in Santiago, would be accommodated at Doubletree by Hilton for the first
game against USA; Sheraton Miramar Hotel & Convention Centre in Vina del
Mar for the match against Chile and at Coquimbo Hotel De La Hahia for the match
against Croatia.
For the records, the Golden Eaglets before their departure to
Katsina, maintained their goal scoring form in practice matches with a
respective 7-0 thrashing of Nwauudo Foundation FC Academy of Gboko on
Tuesday and 3-0 defeat of Santos Academy of Abuja on Friday.
