Nigeria’s Super
Falcons players are expected to report to camp on Monday, August 10, 2015, in
preparation for the Women’s Football Tournament of next month’s 11th All-Africa
Games in Congo following the invitation of 35
players while injured Liverpool striker, Asisat Oshoala, is left out.
The Falcons had
been given a one week break after being elimination from the 2016 Olympics race
following their 2-1 defeat in Equatorial Guinea on Sunday.
Some of the
players invited by the team’s interim coach, Chris Danjuma, are Onome Ebi, Francisca
Ordega, Halimat Ayinde and Esther Sunday, Osinachi Ohale and Desire Oparanozie.
Also, some players
in the junior national team, Falconets were also invited. They are Yetunde
Adeboyejo, Chinaza Uchendu and Chinwendu Ihezuo.
The Super Falcons
will play host Congo-Brazzaville, Tanzania and Cote d’Ivoire in Group A of the
Women’s Football Tournament of the All-Africa Games.
