Akujobi Goes Home On Saturday

Gra Akujobi

The remains of the late Media Officer of the Super Falcons, Miss Gracious Akujobi, will be interred at her home-town, Egbu-Owerri, in Imo State on Saturday, August 22, 2015.

Akujobi, who also served as Media Officer of the U-17 Women National Team, Flamingos, in 2012, died on Thursday, July 16 at the Super Falcons’ camp in Abuja, after health complications.
Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League and Member of the NFF Executive Committee, Chief (Mrs) Dilichukwu Onyedinma, will lead the NFF delegation to the burial rites.
“The truth is that we are still saddened by her sudden death. Gracious Akujobi was a humble and dedicated media officer, and highly professional. That is why the NFF has decided to play a full role in the arrangements for the burial even though she was not a staff of the Football Federation.
“We cannot question the Almighty God. We love her but He loves her more. Our prayer is that God will continue to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss, and also grant late Gracious Akujobi eternal rest.”
