Former Nigeria Football Association
Chairman, Ibrahim Galadima, has described Kano Pillars as the team while the
highest support from fans and government in the country.
The top football administrator, who
said in a chat with Dream SportsYarn this evening, was speaking on the sack of
Coach Okey Emordi as Pillars Coach on Monday.
“I don’t know why the government and
the management took the decision to sack the coach (Emordi) because I’m not
part of the decision makers in government”. “I will not tell you specifically
why it happened”.
“It’s only the coach who knows the
term that was given to him and if he was unable to meet the demand is another
thing, but, I think that’s a matter for the management to sought out as far as
I’m concerned”.
He also believed that the club’s
support base has been enormous but hints it is not a criteria for the club to
always do well every season.
“Pillars have always been getting
the best support from the state government and their fans as far as I know”.
“That alone has given the club the highest support any club can get in the
country”. “But, that aside it’s not a reason for the club to always do well
every time because clubs rise and fall. That the beauty of the game”, he says.
Coach Emordi was relieved of his
appointment following the 3-3 draw against Lobi Stars in Makurdi on Sunday, to
place 9th with 27 points.
