Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh
has returned to Europe and will remain there to monitor Nigerian players, the
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed. This development is deferent
from the practice where recent Super Eagles coaches have all been based in
Nigeria
.
Executive Board Member and
Chairman of the NFF Technical Committee, Felix Anyansi-Agwu, disclosed that Oliseh
will monitor the activities of Nigerian players from his base in Europe.
“He (Oliseh) has gone back
but temporarily”. “He hasn’t gone finally because you know we have a game
against Tanzania very soon and most of our players are in Europe”.
“So he has gone to make adequate
arrangements and also to monitor the progress of these players because the
European leagues have not started because most of them are on training tours.
“So he has gone there to make arrangements and work and the
Nigeria Football Federation is one hundred percent aware of his activities and
movements so we should give him time to settle down” says Anyansi-Agwu.
