Nigeria international, Ahmed Musa, has signed a new four-year contract with CSKA Moscow that will keep him at the Arena Khimki till the end of the 2018/2019 season.
The new deal comes on
the back of the Red Army securing Champions League qualification for next
season, after they sealed 2nd spot in the Russian Premier League with a 1-1
draw at FC Rostov on Saturday.
“Negotiations
went very smoothly,” general director Roman Babaev told pfc-cska.com.
“During
the talks we were concentrating on technical details, as Musa's intention to
continue performing in Red-Blue shirt was obvious from the first day. We are
delighted that Ahmed prolonged his contract with the club.”
Musa –
who joined PFC CSKA from VVV Venlo in 2012 - has racked up 124 matches for the
Red-Blue, scoring 36 goals.
The
Super Eagles striker’s repertoire of laurels includes two Russian League
titles, one Russian Cup and two Russian Super Cups.
