Stoke and Southampton keep close tabs on Nigerian-born Stefano Okaka

Premier League duo Stoke and Southampton have made checks on Sampdoria striker Stefano Okaka ahead of a possible move during the summer transfer window.
   

The 25-year-old had a loan spell with Fulham under Roy Hodgson during the 2010-11 campaign. 

He scored on his full Italy debut last year against Albania after deciding to reject overtures from the Nigeria national team.

Okaka scored two goals in 11 Premier League games for Fulham during his loan stint in England.

The Italy international has spent time at Bari, Parma and current side Sampdoria since returning to his country of birth.
