Liverpool fans may be aghast at the
prospect of losing Raheem Sterling, but the blow could be slightly cushioned by
the emergence of another promising young star.
Jordon Ibe has impressed for
Liverpool since being recalled early from his loan at Derby, and the club are
keen to tie the 19-year-old down to an extended contract.
And judging by Ibe's latest video,
it is clear why Brendan Rodgers wants to move quickly to secure the
midfielder's future - especially in light of Sterling's desire to quit
Liverpool.

Ibe shows off his range of skills
and quick feet at Liverpool's Melwood training ground, but it is of course on
the pitch where it matters most.
And Ibe has been urged by Steven
Gerrard to reject the example set by Sterling and continue his development at
Anfield.
'In Jordon Ibe now, there is huge
potential there with the right coaching and advice. If he wants it, there could
be another superstar around the corner,' he told the Liverpool Echo.
The impending departure of Sterling
may also actually benefit Ibe, who would hope to take on a more central role in
his team-mates' absence.
Raheem Sterling (centre) has told Liverpool he will not sign a new deal with the club and wants to leave
For now, it seems like
Ibe will be staying at Liverpool. Asked what his aim for the season was, he
said: 'To just continue playing and getting minutes and try to get goals
because of the position I play in.
'I want to get into the
England U21 team and then eventually into senior squad and win some
cups.'
Discussing his idols in
the game, Ibe also gave a hint of where his skills come from. 'Ronaldo, the
Brazilian one, and Zinedine Zidane. My Cruff turns come from Zidane and the
footwork would be from Ronaldo. Because he is an attacking player I try and
learn things from him.'
