Super
Falcons invitee, Courtney Dike and Liverpool striker, Asisat Oshoala, have both
arrived camp of the Super Falcons ahead of the World Cup in Canada. Dike
arrived 4:am Tuesday morning, while Oshoala landed Monday night.
Dike,
who plays for Oklahoma State University, was part of the silver-winning U-20
Falconets to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada last year.
An
excited Dike said after her arrival: "I feel super excited to be here
because it's been a while since I've been with these girls. I have grown a lot
as a player, especially from the last U-20 World Cup, so I am excited to bring
my skills here and hopefully, help the team.
"It's
a huge honour being in the Super Falcons. The U-20 experience was great; some
of the players are still here and I am excited to play with them”.
“I
am equally excited to meet the new players as well and learn from the ones that
are more experienced than I am. I also relish the fact that I will be playing
against the United States where I live."
Meanwhile,
Liverpool striker, Asisat Oshoala was also full of expectations of going back
to Canada to excel with the Super Falcons. "It’s good to be back with the
team. I look forward to the World Cup in Canada to excel with my team. It feels
really good," Oshoala said.
