Cristiano Ronaldo could be on his way to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain
but wants to clarify his position at Real Madrid first, according to Spanish
newspaper Marca.
The Portugal star is
reportedly unhappy at the La Liga giants after a month which saw the Champions
League and La Liga title slip through his grasp.
And Marca reported that PSG president Nasser
Al-Khelaifi is a big fan of the former Manchester United star and would spend
around £89million on the player.
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 310 goals for Real Madrid and is only 13 behind leading all-time scorer Raul
The 30-year-old is reportedly unsettled at Madrid after the La Liga giants failed to win a trophy this season
Ronaldo,
however, would be willing to remain at Madrid next season but wants to talk to
the club's president Florentino Perez to clarify what changes will be made to
the squad in the summer.
Despite
Madrid's failure to win a trophy this season, Ronaldo has enjoyed a spectacular
campaign in front of goal and his hat-trick against Espanyol last Sunday took
him to 45 goals for the season.
It
remains unclear if Ronaldo would be tempted by the riches of Al Khelaifi should
he step up his interest.
PSG's
spending power is currently limited by UEFA's Financial Fair Play and their
president is hopeful he can sign players in the summer to add to the squad
which includes David Luiz and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Reports in Spain by newspaper Marca suggest PSG are preparing an audacious £89million bid for the star
The former Manchester United star scored a hat-trick last Sunday to take him to 45 goals for the season
It is
also reported that the only player locked down at the Santiago Bernabeu is
Gareth Bale and although Perez believes Ronaldo still has two good seasons left
in him, the club won't force him to stay.
Ronaldo is now only 13 goals behind Real's leading all-time scorer
Raul, who scored 323 goals in 741 games for the Spanish giants.
The
30-year-old will earn himself legendary status at Madrid if he were to overtake
Raul but he wants assurance on the club's summer objectives before making a
decision on his future.
