The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Enugu state
chapter, has set up a 3-man electoral committee to oversee the election of a
new Exco that will pilot the association's affairs in the next three years. This
followed the recent expiration of the tenure of the present executive.
A statement issued on Tuesday in Enugu by secretary of the association, Ignatius Okpara, and made available to Sportsday, hinted that Tuesday, May 5, 2015, has been fixed for the election.
According to the statement, Maurice Okafor of Hallmark Newspaper is to serve as chairman of the committee, with Nnamdi Mbawuike of Leadership Newspaper and Magnus Nwokpor of Voice of Nigeria, VON as members.
