His problems on-the-pitch have been well documented this summer, but all seems well off-it for Mario Balotelli as he enjoyed some time with his best friend on Monday.
Balotelli took to Instagram to upload a picture of himself and
close pal Antony Uberti working up a sweat in a sauna.
Accompanied with the
caption: 'Running , sauna, pool. Job done for today. work hard and shhhh facts
speak lounder @puma @antonyuberti #bestfriends [sic]' the Italy international
can be seen giving a thumbs up as he and Uberti pose for a picture.
Balotelli's future at
Liverpool looks destined for a Merseyside exit this summer after he was made to
train away from the rest of the first team squad last week.
The Italy international
has been reporting to Liverpool's Melwood headquarters every day but, along
with Jose Enrique and Fabio Borini, he is undertaking a regime separate to the
one that Brendan Rodgers is using for those who he will be relying upon for the
new season.
The 24-year-old didn't
feature in either of the Reds' pre-season games at the weekend as Rodgers
continued his preparations for their Premier League opener away at Stoke City
on August 9.
Having signed for
Liverpool last summer in a £16million deal from AC Milan, Balotelli has
struggled at the club - scoring four goals in 28 appearances.
Gianfranco Zola is keen to
take Balotelli to Qatar but there's also interest from Serie A sides including
Bologna.
