Nigeria's U-20 national team, Flying Eagles, is yet to start training after arriving in Germany on Sunday.
Reports say as at Monday morning the players were still at the camp based of Novina Hotel in Nuremberg, and may not begin training any time soon as they are yet to receive their training kits. The team traveled on Saturday night, wearing Nike T-shirts that had only the Nike logo on them, without the logo of the Nigeria Football Federation.
“The players cannot train now because there are no training kits at the moment so they will do some gym work on Monday morning”. “The new contract with Nike means we have to wait because I guess the kits are still in production and they cannot train without kits”, disclosed a source.
The Flying Eagles are expected to be in Germany for three weeks before leaving for New Zealand, where the FIFA U-20 World Cup will hold.
