the Karkanda Stadium, Katsina, on Tuesday, May 26.
The friendly match
between Nigeria National League, Spotlight FC (Katsina) was staged to open the
newly built 35,000-capacity Karkanda Stadium by the Katsina State government.
Former Super Eagles
captain, Stephen Keshi, made his first appearance on the bench of the Eagles
since his return to manage Nigeria's senior national soccer team.
The Super Eagles are
preparing for the 2017 AFCON qualifier against Chad while Spotlight FC is
aiming to be in top shape to put up a strong challenge in NNL Group A1 for the
only promotion ticket to the apex league in Nigeria.
